Masura is a Russian brand, famous for their holographic and magnetic polishes. I was so honored when they messaged me and I got the opportunity to try some of their gorgeous products! I’ve been working on some nail art with them for the past month, but I really wanted to swatch them as well, to show them in their full beauty. I hope I did them justice, that is up to you to decide ;-)
Let’s start with three magnetic polishes! This is Zeus on Golden Cloud and it’s a light olive-y green magnetic polish. I used three coats because it’s pretty light so it has a hard time reaching opacity. The super cool magnetic effect is achieved by hovering a magnet right over the polish without actually touching the surface. This is hard and takes some practice, and a steady hand!
Sky Gardens is a dark green magnetic polish. I used two coats, no top coat. I really like this polish both with and without the magnetic effect!
Lighthouse Golden Beam is... versatile. It’s great both normally applied, and after use of a magnet. I used two coats and ’magneted’ the second coat, no top coat. The blue/purple flakies really float my boat, but I’m not sure if I like them combined with brown. What do you think?
Holographic Kiss is one of my favorites of this ragtag assembly of polishes. It’s a soft nude-ish color with a slight pink hue to it, and oh yeah did I mention it’s holographic? I used two coats, no top coat and this is smooooth as butter.
This duochrome Sky Temple is so hard to photograph! The shift really shows itself at hard angles, which works great for your eyes in real life, but harder to capture on camera. It’s an icy lake kind of blue, really an electric color, that shifts to purple and sometimes shows a flash of magenta! I used three coats because it’s slightly on the sheer side.
Swan Lake reminds me of a beautiful deep night sky with stars that you can see glitter above your head. Makes you feel small, doesn’t it? It’s a deep blue jelly polish with one size holographic silver hex glitters. I used two coats with top coat, and it dried really well!
Bla bla has silver shards in different sizes and tiny silver glitters in a clear base. I used one coat over dark purple, with top coat. This is... not really my kind of polish. I think I’m too much of a control freak? And this polish makes unexpected patterns and combinations, that vary when applied differently. If you like surprised, this is one for you!
Lastly, I have some gel polishes to show you. These all come in small black 3,5ml bottles with a color sticker on the top of the cap. They cure in 30-60 seconds under LED and have a slightly tacky layer after curing.
What charm it lacks in the name,
My apologies for the grainy pictures, daylight was running out and I had to crank up my camera’s settings too far. Either way,
Another appealing name,
Whew! That's all 10 of them! What's your favorite? Mine are definitely the magnetics, I just really love that they can be worn in more than one way!
