MASURA Precious Stones Collection

In recent months a cozy world of nail polishes was covered by a real epidemic of magnetic polishes, the main reason of it was the MASURA Precious Stones Collection. Several manufacturers released such kind of nail polishes a couple of years ago but this trend quickly came to ought, although I don’t understand why — magnetic nail polishes look very interesting and solid and attract no fewer attention than glitters or holographic polishes do. And now, since the second half of last year, in the Internet I often see swatches of MASURA magnetic nail polishes, and just a couple of months ago I came across the major part of the collection. Moreover the manufacturer improved the idea and suggested us using white or black polish as a base coat, and released a very strong magnet, with its help the process of application takes not that much time.

If you use white nail polish as a base coat the color blend looks softer and smoother, with a black base coat — contrast and strong. Besides nail polish can be applied not only in a standard way, but also by diagonal strokes that gives more volume to the coverage and enhances the effect. In my possession there are eighteen of twenty nail polishes from the collection, so, it is one of the largest reviews at my blog.

MASURA 904-109 Cat’s Eye

Emerald green magnetic polish, in the photo it’s applied in a single layer by diagonal strokes over black base. By the way, I used original white and black foundations that belong to the collection, and they have excellent technical characteristics – very comfortable to apply in a single layer.

MASURA 904-110 Tiger’s Eye

Sandy gold magnetic nail polish applied in a single layer by diagonal strokes over black base and covered with a top coat. In fact, nail polishes from this series dry rather quickly even without a top coat, but in my opinion extra gloss would do no harm.

MASURA 904-111 Goldstone

Olive-golden magnetic nail polish applied in a single layer by diagonal strokes over black base and covered with a top coat. As you can see the black foundation is my favorite one and I applied the majority of polishes over it.

MASURA 904-112 Amethyst of Love

Violet-plum magnetic nail polish of high density, that’s why I used a black base only to increase the effect.

MASURA 904-114 Lazurite of Fortune

Medium blue magnetic nail polish applied in a single layer over a black base and covered with a top coat.

MASURA 904-115 Shining Garnet

Terracotta magnetic nail polish of high density. I didn’t use a foundation, I just applied two thin layers over a customary transparent base coat.

MASURA 904-116 Charming Charoite

Inky violet magnetic nail polish applied in two thin layers without a base coat and covered with a top coat.

MASURA 904-117 Rough Diamond

Graphite grey magnetic nail polish applied in a single thin layer over black foundation and covered with a top coat.

MASURA 904-118 Perfect Emerald

Deep green magnetic nail polish applied in a single layer over black foundation and covered with a top coat.

MASURA 904-119 Sapphire of Heaven

Turquoise blue magnetic nail polish of high density. Two layers and a top coat.

MASURA 904-120 Ruby Temptation

Cherry magnetic nail polish of high density. Two layers and a top coat.

MASURA 904-121 Precious Gem

Lilac violet magnetic nail polish applied in a single layer over white foundation and covered with a top coat.

MASURA 904-167 Mysterious Ametrine

Rather dark purple violet magnetic nail polish with a bit of large blue shimmer. It has a good density, so was applied in two thin layers without a base coat and covered with a top coat.

MASURA 904-168 Magic Citrine

Brown-beige magnetic nail polish with pink undertone. Applied in a single layer over white foundation and covered with a top coat.

MASURA 904-169 Lilac Angelite

Bright purple-violet magnetic nail polish. Two thin layers and a top coat.

MASURA 904-171 Mountain Azurite

Bright blue magnetic nail polish applied in a single layer over black foundation and covered with a top coat.

MASURA 904-173 Smoky Quartz

Light brown magnetic nail polish filled up with large golden shimmer. Two layers and a top coat.

MASURA 904-174 Stellar Aquamarine

Rich blue magnetic nail polish applied in a single layer over white foundation and covered with a top coat.

In addition to the fact that magnetic nail polishes look eye-catching, I enjoy to combine them with different kinds of nail art. For example, stamping over the Precious Gem (you can see the previous version of the bottle in my hand).

Next – my first steps with decals where I used Perfect Emerald and Ruby Temptation, and as a base coat I used nude holographic At My Wedding We’ll Be Drinking Cappuccino from the MASURA Golden Collection.

And finally I’ll show the reverse stamping with three nail polishes: Stellar Aquamarine, Mysterious Ametrine, Magic Citrine without using a magnet.
